Bill's obituary

William "Bill" Moore went home to Jesus on June 14, 2022, at age 92.

Bill was born to Polly Frances and Ira Benjamin Moore on July 25, 1929, in Crowder, Oklahoma. As a child, he was always tinkering and creating new toys out of found materials such as a wooden Velveeta box.

Bill met his wife, Justine, in 1950 at Church, and made up his mind that night that he was going to marry her. They married on November 25th, 1950, raising their two children Arlene (Moore) Adamson and William Moore. In addition to being a dedicated and loving father, Bill was a proud Union member of Salinas Local Number 62, Modesto Union Number 437, and Bakersfield Local Number 460, working initially as a plumber and retiring as an HVAC specialist.  Bill was an active member of the church of the Nazarene in Bakersfield, Modesto, Salinas, and Porterville serving in a variety of positions including youth Caravan leader, board member, and secretary of the board (Modesto). When he was not at work, with family, or at church, you could find Bill working away in his woodshop or out fishing. Throughout his entire life, he held an unwavering faith in God, which he shared with those who surrounded him.

Bill is preceded in death by his mother Polly Frances, father Ira, and daughter Arlene. He is survived by his loving wife Justine Moore, son William and daughter-in-law, Karla Moore (William), son-in-law Reed Adamson,  grandchildren Jennifer Adamson- Thomson, Justin Adamson, Noelle Moore, Abby Moore, and great-grandchildren, Aiden, Kinslee, Chloe, and Cameron. He additionally served as a father figure and grandfather to numerous nieces, great-nieces, and nephews.

The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want.

He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters.

He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake.

Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.

Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over.

6 Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever.

Psalm 23
