It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of William McLaughlin, who departed this life on October 9, 2025. Born on August 8, 1957, William lived a vibrant and fulfilling life marked by passion and love. His energetic and loving spirit was infectious.

William was predeceased by his parents, Constance (Nee Connors) McLaughlin and William McLaughlin. He is survived by his former wife Susanne (Nee Schweigel) McLaughlin and remembered by his four sons, Marc(Katrina) and grandchildren Cailin and Xander McLaughlin, Ryan(Elizabeth) and grandchildren Madelyn and Jack McLaughlin, Scott(Priscilla) and grandchildren Emma and Ronin McLaughlin, and Kevin McLaughlin. 

William is also survived by his devoted sisters, Kathleen McLaughlin, Kitty McLaughlin Stephan, Karin McLaughlin Berg, and Karie McLaughlin. As well as his 4 nephews and 6 nieces.

Among his greatest accomplishments, William was proud of his children and his family. He took great pride in the title of grandfather and did his best to be involved. William was also a diehard Cubs fan so much so that he even auditioned to be an announcer. His love for the beach was well-known, and he will be dearly missed in those tranquil surroundings.

William McLaughlin’s memory and his vibrant spirit will forever dwell in the hearts of his loved ones.
