These last few months have been rather challenging. As many of you know, I have been her sole caregiver full time for the last 12 years..24/7….I have lost much but gained a lifetime being allowed to take care of her and insure she has the best end of life possible. Her last 4 weeks were at home in a hospital bed in front of the large picture window where she saw her favorite hummingbird visit and the many cardinals stopping in to say hello, She loved life and was resilient to the very end. She managed a smile whenever possible and always offered a thank you to anyone who was around. She loved people, her God and life itself. She is gone but has left a lifetime of memories in her wake. Thank you to everyone who has supported and encouraged me during this difficult journey, as I couldn’t have done it without all of your love and support. My whole life is turned upside down and hopefully something will help right it’s course.
