Wess's obituary
Wess Thad Chalender passed away on December 23, 2024, in North Fort Myers, Florida, at the age of 57. Born on August 14, 1967, Wess brought creativity, humor, and warmth into the lives of those around him.

A man of many passions, Wess had a deep love for drawing. He was rarely seen without a sketchpad nearby, often leaving behind whimsical or thoughtful sketches on little pads of paper scattered throughout his home. His artistic nature was matched by his vibrant personality—he loved to sing karaoke during gatherings with friends and family. Whether belting out country ballads or classic rock anthems, Wess brought energy and joy to every performance.
His compassion extended beyond people to animals as well. Wess had a soft spot for stray cats and made it a point to care for those that found their way to his doorstep. His kindness and sense of humor were ever-present; he delighted in telling jokes and making others laugh, brightening even the dullest days with his wit.
Wess’s legacy lives on through the memories he created with those who knew him. May his memory bring comfort and smiles to all who remember him.
