Wesley's obituary
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Mr. Wesley Jenkins, who left us peacefully on April 6th, 2024. Born on November 8th, 1947, Wesley lived a full and meaningful life before his departure.
In his wake, he leaves a family that cherished him greatly. His loving brother, Don Jenkins, and his kind-hearted sisters,Lue Manning and Greffen Harrington, will remember him fondly. His children, Roderick Pickett(Kymberly), Teresa Mckelvy, Keisha Morrison, and Jeremiah Cruz. Many grand and great grand children. A Host of nieces, nephews and family members. He was predeceased by his father, George Jenkins Sr., his mother, Annie Mae Jenkins, and his brother, George Jenkins Jr. .Wesley confessed his his life to Christ at an early age. Wesley was baptized at One Way Baptist Church. His faith in God was unwavering. Wesley was an alumnus of Farragut High School, having graduated in the class of 1965. Post-school, Wesley continued to be a lifelong learner. He found joy in watching his favorite TV show, Jeopardy, and took great pleasure in action movies. Wesley joined the Army in 1969 and was honorably discharged in 1972. After serving in Korea and Germany.
His hobbies were as varied as they were unique. Wesley was fond of games of strategy and wit, with Chess and Card Games being particular favorites. He also devoted a great deal of his time to raising dogs, a reflection of his kind and nurturing soul.
Wesley was a man who cared deeply about family and friends. He spent his life nurturing these relationships, contributing positively to the lives of many. His legacy will continue in the hearts of all those he touched.
May his soul find peace as it embarks on the journey to eternity. Wesley Jenkins, may you rest in peace.
