Wesley's obituary
Wesley was born on October 29, 1959 to Hushel Haley and Janet Welch in Dallas, TX.
After attending Dunbar High School, he graduated in the military in Alaska. Wesley went on to study theology, psychology, and engineering- telling his family what he learned along the way. Wesley attended Tarrant County Junior College, LaSalle University, and Ashworth College.
He went on to become an Air Conditioning & Refrigeration Technician and joined the ranks of the National Association of Tax Preparers in 1993.
Education was important to Wesley, he never stopped studying throughout his life. At 43 years old, he graduated from the Saint John University Middlesex School of Business with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration. He did exceptionally well and graduated with a 3.95 GPA. He gained an additional certification at 45 years old from the Mobile Air Conditioning Society.
In 1982, he met Debra, and they wed in 1984 going on to have two children, Chris and Courtney. Wesley and Debra were married for nearly 37 years.
Wesley was a force of nature, determined to provide for his family, from riding a bike to buying a new car, preparing meals for the family, and repairing the car. His family was his world and his wife Debra was the apple in his eye. He was unapologetically proud of everything he created-songs, businesses, paintings, and recipes.
Wesley was also a passionate singer, guitarist, and painter and could often be found singing, listening to music, and doodling on the phone.
Anyone who knew Wesley knew that he was full of personality and jokes. He was the most entertaining father and husband a family could ask for. Wesley was predeceased by his mother Janet, father Hushel, and brothers Tommy and Joseph. He is survived by a large family, including his children, wife, three brothers, two sisters, two grandchildren, and a host of nieces and nephews.
The family requests that all flowers, notes, and donations are sent to his wife Debra. There will be a celebration of life in Arlington, followed by a graveside service.
