Wes's obituary

Wesley “Wes”  A. Gerrish, 48 of Old Town passed away December 28th, 2023 surrounded by the family and friends he loved the most.

Wes was born to Dorothy and Wesley J Gerrish in Warwick Rhode Island but he grew up in Lagrange Maine where as a child he kept the whole town on their toes. Wes graduated from Penquis Valley High School where he would go on to work many odd jobs and eventually start a family. He was known for his open heart and took care of everyone who counted on him, even raising a 3rd bonus child who he loved as his own.

Aside from his family Wes always loved going fast, head banging, and rock ‘n roll. You could often find him outside, whether it be by a fire, in his garden, fishing, riding his bike, or feeding the squirrels.

Wes is survived by his mother Dorothy Gerrish and her partner Martin Douglas, his children Ian Gerrish and Hailey Gerrish. His sister Marylynn Gerrish-Moninger and brother-in-law Ralph Moninger and their children: Danielle Roberts, CJ Roberts, and Luka Moninger. His longtime friend and the mother of his children Liz Lemmon along with her mother Carol Lemmon. A step sister Lynn Richards-Klein and her children: Dillon, Devin, and Lacey Haight. His aunts, Cyn Brackett, Belinda Sheppard, and Helen Pennington, along with his Uncle Mike. His friends Mike Wickett, Phil Woodard, Shannon Severance, and his special friend Roberta Diane.

Wes was predeceased by his bonus son Elijah Bragdon, his father Wesley J Gerrish, grandparents Geraldine Ward, Herbert Ward Helen Gerrish and Charles Gerrish.

Services for Wes will be held at the Marion C Cook school in Lagrange on January 27th, 2024 at 1:00.
