- Wendy Jean Moniz Barreras, 73, of Modesto, CA, passed away on January 05, 2023. Wendy was born on April 4, 1949 to Elmer Moniz and Patricia (Penberthy) Moniz in Oakland California. After graduating from John F. Kennedy High School in Fremont, California, she went on to study Business Administration at Healds’s Business College. After graduation, she landed her first job working for Kmart. She met her love John Barreras and they wed in 1986. A couple years later they welcomed their son Brian Joseph Barreras. After Kmart, Wendy went on to work for Orchard Supply until retiring in 2011. She loved spending time with her family, especially camping! In 2012 she was blessed with her first grandchild Gabriella (Gabby)! Two more grandsons followed, Easton and Logan! She loved being a Nana and spent her days spoiling and loving those beautiful Grandbabies. Wendy is predeceased in death by her parents, Elmer and Patricia Moniz and younger brother Christopher Moniz. She is survived by her husband John Barreras, son Brian Barreras (Jenniffir), her grandchildren Gabby, Easton, and Logan, three brothers, Steven Moniz (Kimmie) John Moniz (Diane), Alan Moniz (Susan), and many nieces and nephews! All loved her and will miss her greatly!
