Wendell's obituary

Wendell Perkins, known to family and friends as “Rayford,” passed away on March 4, 2021, at the age of 59 years in Colorado Springs, Colorado.

Rayford will be remembered by his wife Kathy Martin, and his children Whitley 19 (daughter) and Kendall 17 (son). Rayford would have liked to note the dedication and commitment that he released to his sister Dr. Jocelyn Enabulele and Friday Enabulele to rear both of his children from age 6 months and 3 years of age.

He was baptized at an early age at Damascus Missionary Baptist Church in Houston, Texas. Rayford loved to build computers and took great pride in creating innovative landscapes that attracted companies around the world.

A native of Houston, Texas Rayford attended and graduated from Dulles High School in Houston, Texas.

Rayford will always be in our hearts and will be remembered by his family: Larry Perkins (brother), Deborah Hunter (sister), Reponsal Perkins (sister), Pamela Perkins (sister), Jacqueline Patterson (sister), Dr. Jocelyn Perkins-Enabulele (sister), and Belinda Harlan (sister).

He had a host of Brother-in Laws, Sister-in laws, Nieces, Nephews, Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, and Friends!

His parents preceded him in death: Henry Perkins (father) and Johnnie Mae Perkins (mother). His brother preceded him in death: Kirk Perkins.

The Family!

Due to COVID and CDC recommendations a Zoom memorial celebration will be held in lieu of in person events. The celebration of life is scheduled for March 20, 2021 at from 12:00pm to 1:00pm Central Standard time!

The balloon celebration event will be held in a smaller gathering due to COVID-19 and CDC recommendations therefore; the family will be hosting this event in a closed and private settings. We appreciate the support and hope to see you at the Zoom memorial celebration on March 20th.
