Wayne's obituary
To know Wayne is to know that his heart was enormous. When he loved, he loved with his whole being. There is nothing Wayne wouldn’t do for his loved ones. And he was loved in return. We loved his loud laughter, his exuberant personality, his entertaining stories, his bear hugs, his loyalty.
Wayne adored his partner, Shannon, treasured his Grandmom, worshipped his brother, and doted on his nephew. He was a friend to so many, a son, a boyfriend, a cousin, and more than anything he was a passionate soul, a very special person.
It is difficult to envision this world without Wayne in it, without him filling it up with his truehearted presence. We must all embrace the memories of him that we are so fortunate to have and remember his spirit in all of our days ahead because that is what Wayne would have wanted, for us to love and live as passionately as he did.
Wayne is survived by his love of 17 years Shannon Bray; his mother Mary Tant; his brother Jamie Wanner, his wife Joy and their son Colt; Uncle Mark Wanner and wife Susan Wanner; his Aunt Karen Wanner; his Aunt Joyce and Uncle Tom Parks; his Aunt Paula Hnatnick; and many close cousins.
He was preceded in death by his father James Edward Wanner, his grandmother Rosemary Wanner, and his grandfather James Courtney Wanner.
Details of a gathering to retell the tales of Wayne will be announced in the coming weeks.
