Wayne was my coach. He’d always poke at me for being such a short volleyball player and get a little amused when I’d stay after practice to try and pass to myself against the wall. I always knew he was just doing so in a joking manner, but one day he came up to me and just told me how proud he was at how much my hard work has paid off and how I’ve made him super proud and how I was doing great. I said thank you and I think we high fived. It was one of our last interactions, I wrote about him for my college essays and will always be greatful for the impact he’s had on me. The day I learned he had passed, I sobbed in my moms arms and then immediately made a poster saying “DO IT FOR WAYNE”, which pushed me to keep going even when I was diagnosed with clinical depression about 2 years later. Thank you Wayne
Thank you for everything Wayne. You were my favorite coach, I think about you all the time
Happy Heavenly Birthday Wayne. Love & miss you always

In lieu of flowers

In lieu of flowers, consider a gift to Lutheran High School Volleyball.

My deepest condolences to Wayne's family for their loss. Youth volleyball accross Southern California also lost an enthusiastic entrepreneur who helped hundreds of young people be introduced to volleyball, many of whom enjoyed college volleyball careers as a  result. Wayne's smiling attitude, quick wit and plain talking nature will be missed by everyone who came into contact with him.

We will miss you Wayne, but the world is in a better place because you walked among us.

Chip Schulte

Just found out today that Wayne had passed away - He was a remarkable person in all respects, I will miss
him.

He was a genuine caring individual and I loved the way he encouraged the girls in all aspects. We had the privilege of knowing Wayne through volleyball snd he coached three of my granddaughters. In talking with him one of my favorite quotes from Wayne when talking about God was “He is large and He’s in charge”. I will miss him but I know we will see him again one day. Thank you to Wayne’s family for sharing him with all of us. Blessings 🙏🏼 Sylvia Preston. DC’s grandma
Wayne was a really cool & fun uncle. I remember he loved to watch wrestling and was always making Hulk Hogan jokes. He always made me laugh.

Wayne was a good man & a wonderful Father. Was always so proud of you.
I watched the lovely service with your Mom. It made us laugh & cry. He would have really loved it.
I hope you find comfort knowing you will see him again some beautiful day in heaven ,but, until then know he will be watching over you beaming with pride. Love you my beautiful ray of sunshine.

I met Wayne officially when Jessica, Bright Sunshine, was a student in my 3rd grade class. He was involved from day 1. He had me hooked.
In response to "How did you first meet Wayne?"
Wayne,

You will be missed! Loved your music, smile and friendship. The girls valued your coaching skills and spirits.

Rest In Peace my friend!

Jess,
Sure didn't think I'd ever be writing this about your Dad.
He was just so funny, I mean, If laughter is truly the best medicine, then he should have lived forever.
Such a remarkable gift of humor your Dad. I admired that in him.
Upon reflection I find so many things come to mind...
His incredible vision for creating the club.
His extraordinary dedication to making it a positive & fun environment for kids to excell & thrive with confidence in the sport of volleyball .
Inspiring & influencing so many lives along the way.
His love for all kids & never forgetting how to be a kid himself. Biggest kid I knew.
He cherished his baby sister Allison. He loved his family, his Mom & Jesus.
What I loved & admired most of all, was his love for you as a Father. He was always very proud of you & especially of the woman you've become. You truly are a testament of that Love. My heartfelt condolences to Mel, Cassie & Daisy.
All My Love,
Mom
My deepest condolences to Melodie, Jess, Cassie and Daisy. My heart breaks that Wayne has passed but he will live on in their hearts!

My favorite memories of Wayne involve volleyball and family trips with the Enderles! I remember Wayne being at every St. Lucy’s game and I could always hear him cheering us on and giving us tough love if we were losing :) I was lucky enough to have joined the family on river trips and a cruise to Mexico! These are wonderful memories that I will cherish forever and I am so appreciative of the Enderles for inviting me! I most recently saw Wayne in the summer of 2020 and I remember thinking how he was so happy and at peace at the beach with Jess and Daisy. I am so grateful for that last memory with him. Wayne will be deeply missed!
Jess, I don’t know where to begin! Our sincerest condolences to you, Melodie, Cassie and Daisy Lynn! Our hearts and love go out to all of you! I’ve been reminiscing on so many wonderful memories over so many years of friendship between you and Lisa and the many interactions we had with Wayne! From the crazy, exciting, grueling, competitive days of you and Lisa playing Volleyball to the special wonderful time of your High School years at St Lucy’s! And let’s not forget the many, many trips you and Lisa went to. Through it all, Wayne was always there for you, supporting and loving you! Lots of tough love but the best true love for you, always challenging you to be the best! He was always so incredibly proud you and so are we! You are a testament of his love for you and his incredible commitment to raising you to be an incredible, beautiful, amazing human being! I know Wayne is watching over you in Heaven with a big smile on his face!

We love you Jess!
I’m so sorry Wayne is gone physically but he will never really be gone. He touched so many hearts and there are so many great memories of him. He was a true blessing to me. He made me laugh. I felt warmth whenever he was around. He gave so much of himself. I would say that one of his most important qualities was his dedication as a father. I know Jessica was blessed having a loving and supportive dad. I loved having him as a friend for several years. He was so real. He will always hold a special place in my heart. I can’t wait to be with him in Heaven. Love you Wayne.
