Wayne H. Degner of Centralia, IL passed away on 2/5/2019 at DePaul Hospital in St Louis, MO. He was born on 11/24/1947 in Dickinson, Texas to Oren (Moore) and Herbert Degner. He is preceded in death by his parents and 2 brothers, Harold and Kenneth.

He married Carma (Maxedon) Degner on 03/03/1976. Together they raised 2 daughters, Cassie Hernandez and Anjanette Fleetwood.

For over 40 years, his primary mission in life was serving as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses. He felt priveleged to spend much of his time in various volunteer efforts including the door to door ministry, bible studies, mentoring, construction projects, and in the hospital patient visitation group, which brought him great joy.

He is survived by his wife Carma, daughters Cassie (Pops) Hernandez and Anjanette (Brad) Fleetwood, brothers Donald (Pamela) Degner, Lloyd (Linda) Degner, Edward Degner, Janice Neal, and Lillian (Butch) Hoppe, and many nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held at 3:00pm on Saturday February 9th, 2019 at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, 376 Community Beach Rd, Centralia, IL.
