It's very difficult to imagine this brilliant light has gone out so soon. Always a smile and energy that seemed boundless and unrelenting. My time to enjoy more regular company with Wayne was many years ago but he remains a strong and caring soul in my memory. My heart goes out to Sue and the girls, and his family. I know an entire industry of fellow professionals mourns this huge loss.

Wayno was such an amazing person! He always had a smile on his face every time I saw him. I would remember seeing him with his fanny pack on every cheer competition. He was the #1 cheer dad! He was always there to give a good pep talk when anyone needed it. He would always be there cheering us on when we got on the mat and the first to tell everyone how great they did when we got off. He was always there if you just needed a hug or a smile. We will miss him, and I am sending my love to the DeCarlo Family!!

Wayno was hands down without a doubt the ultimate cheer dad to not only Ashley but all her friends as well. I could always count on him for having something in his cheer dad Fanny pack that one of us would need and he would end up saving the day. He was always the loudest one when we were coming out onto the mat and you could always feel how proud he was of all of us no matter what. His amazing energy was always paired with a big smile and hug . Everyone always knew that his family was his world and he would do anything for those he loved. We will all miss him so much and I am sending all my love to the DeCarlo family!!

It is with a heavy heart that I say farewell to such an amazing man. I was blessed to have spent a lot of time with Wayno as we travelled from cheer competition to cheer competition with our beautiful daughters.. He was the consummate cheer Dad (Dad period!) and a wonderful cheer "husband". He was never short on conversation and stories. Every drive was an adventure! His light will forever shine through his beautiful girls and the legacy that he leaves. He often would text my husband pictures of his grandsons. He was so proud of his family. He was kind, warm, engaging and just had the best spirit! The world is so much better for having you in it! Your life has touched so many. Who else can get me to be on a parent cheer team (of which we won Nationals). You would do anything to put a smile on the faces of your girls. May the memories of you, wonderful you, keep your family comforted during this difficult time. May you Rest In Peace you awesome man! God Bless!

Wayne was a wonderful person and neighbor he was always there when you needed something. We enjoyed all the time we spent with Sue and Wayno.
We miss them at Bethel
He was great with my grandson Connor who enjoyed the thoughtfulness Wayno and Sue showed him. Connor even had his picture taken with Ashley and the cheerleaders I will treasure that picture.❤️

Sue, Ashley and Niki - I can't imagine your sadness and sorrow but what a wonderful way to honor and remember your Husband and Dad this is. I am so sad for you and wish we all had more years to enjoy Wayno's infectious and kind spirit. Doug shares my thoughts as well. Thinking of you and sending you love.

I’m sending my thoughts and prayers to the whole DeCarlo family. Wayno was the best cheer dad, and it was always such a pleasure being in his presence. I will never forget when he came to visit Ashley, our roommate, and I, and he would treat us all as if we were his own daughters. His joyous personality will be forever missed.

Sue, Ashley, Niki,

My deepest condolences for your loss. I was speaking with Wayne the Friday before his passing and he mentioned all three of you. We've never met but I feel like we have based on how Wayne used to like to talk about you. He was a proud husband, father, and grandfather. He will be greatly missed.

I worked with Wayne at Photronics in the 90's and briefly when he was at Dupont/Toppan. I'll always remember Wayne's smile as he would say "How big is the order and what will it take?"

The angels will have their hands full figuring out what to do with the photomasks Wayne is no doubt selling up there...

Miss you Wayne.

My thoughts and prayers go to Wayne's family of whom he was so proud, whenever travelling with him he always had new pictures to share, and in recent years video clips of his beloved grandsons . It's been a great education to work for Wayne, watching the "Mask-Man" at his craft. Whilst calling customers/colleagues Wayne knew well from European side, of course lots of sadness/shock expressed, but so many overwhelmingly warm wishes shared showing how special he was to the many, whilst he will of course be missed, he will live on in his very many stories of a life well lived. Goodnight, God Bless Boss.

I can’t say enough good thing…

I can’t say enough good things about Wayno as a person or what it was like to work with him. I never saw him angry or in a bad mood. Always so willing and available to help get a job done. Always so fun and kind in all of his phone calls, emails and texts. I came across this post on Linked In the night he passed. He posted it a week prior but I didn’t see it. Such a positive person and always so appreciative and lifting up others. From time to time he would do something at the office to recognize others and let you know he “saw” you. A couple of years ago, he brought in heart shaped donuts for everyone on Valentine’s Day with a handwritten note. He could tell a great story as evidenced at our company’s 50th anniversary celebration. To me, he was the light at Photroncis. He genuinely loved people, his family, and those grandsons! We shared a love of Italian cars and beagles - addressing me as Beagle Momma in every communication. The Heavens definitely gained a brightly shining star. It’s always the good ones. Wayno, you are so missed already by this Beagle Momma. This place will never be the same 🙏🏻😔❤️

Praying for my sister Sue, Wayne’s wonderful mom Bunny, his sister Jodi, his two extraordinary daughters Niki and Ashly, and his extended family. When you lose a great guy like Wayne it’s difficult to find the words worthy of such an outstanding individual. I met Wayne back in the 70s, when he started dating my sister. Sue had invited him to our home to meet our family - I was home from college that day. Even at an early age, when meeting what eventually became his in-laws for the very first time, Wayne carried himself with an incredible amount grace and class. This is the kind of guy any parent would want for their daughter – any brother would want for his sister. As brothers-in-law, Wayne and I bonded right from the start. Through the 40 plus years I knew him, we did silly things, laughed together, worked out together, talked about our families and even shed some tears. He became my brother – and I just loved the guy.

I will miss his big heart, his wittiness and sense of humor, his absolute unmatched pride in his family - and his friendship. He was taken from us way to early but the memories he leaves us with will remain - always. Godspeed brother.

I have many fond memories of Mr. DeCarlo that would serve as a testament to the incredible person he was. But one sticks out more than the rest. During my senior year of high school I drove with Wayno to one of Ashleys cheer competitions. We didnt know each other too well yet but I remember how easy it was to talk to him because of how genuinely nice and friendly he was. We spent the entire car ride talking about football, cars, and of course, cheer. He talked about different routines and stunts and how incredibly proud he was of Ashley. At the competition he cheered louder and more energetic than any other parent. I thought it was amazing how much Wayno knew about cheer and saw how he immersed himself in the sport in order to support his daughter. His love and support for his children was inspiring and something to behold. From that experience on, Wayno was always reaching out to me to see how I was doing or simply just to remind me that it was National Anthony Day. Mr. DeCarlo was truly a great man, someone who constantly looked out for others and treated them like family. I know that like many others, he impacted my life for the better and I consider myself blessed to have been able to call him a friend. Rest easy, Mr. DeCarlo.

Sue and family - I’m so sorry for loss of Wayne. I’m shocked and deeply saddened by this news. From the time we first met as freshman roommates 40 years ago, Wayne was always the nicest person, a real friend, and always there with a smile. There will not be a day that I will forget his friendship and values. Ginny and I both give you and your family our deepest prayers.

I first met Wayno when I was five years old and wow he lit up a room. He was always so kind and made my first few years of cheer unforgettable. I will never forget him on the parent team. He was always first in line to do anything for his daughter. He was always the kindest to everyone. Wayno, you will be missed by everyone. You made an impact on so many lives and will be remembered as a man with a heart of gold. Ashley, I love you so much. Stay strong and cherish every memory you have together. You have so many people who love you and are here for you! I’m always here if you need anything!❤️

I was 22 years old when I left CT to relocate to Milpitas CA. I worked for Photronics and went out to work in their west coast division. My first 6 months - I lived at the company condo. Wayne and I had become friends during my time in Brookfield. It was a huge and I think maybe a bit naive move on my part. Leaving a small town in CT and moving to Silicon Valley. When Wayne visited CA, he would stay in the condo's other room and we became room mates. He would bring me left overs after sales dinners and made the lonely transition easier. He was like a big brother. What I found out later is that he would have conversations with the Milpitas employees and ask that they take me under their wing. After I moved to my own place, he found out it wasn't that safe and had people check in on me or drive me home. He was so kind and thoughtful - but also funny and happy - he always made me smile or LOL. Rest in Peace "Roomie"
