Graveside services for Warren “Dave” David McAlister, 92, of Tyler, Texas, will be held on Sunday, January 10, 2021 at 2:00 pm at Rose Hill Cemetery with Rev. Dennis Cable officiating, under the direction of Jackson's Burks Walker Tippit Funeral Home.

Dave passed away on Thursday, January 7, 2021 at UT Health Hospital.

Dave was born July 5, 1928 in Corpus Christi, Texas to John and Loretta McAlister.

Dave served for 4 years in the U.S. Navy and later retired from teaching at the University of Texas at Tyler. He attended Central Baptist Church.

Dave was preceded in death by parents John and Loretta McAlister, sister, Joni Keller, and brothers Mark and James McAlister.

Dave is survived by his wife, Janine McAlister, two daughters, Alexandria Brown and Julia Michelle, grandchildren Jessica Wilson and Trace McAlister, and four great-grandchildren.
