Wanda's obituary
It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Wanda Sitz on March 29, 2024. Born on May 13, 1930 in Long Beach, California, Wanda lived a full and meaningful life, touching all those she came into contact with her warmth, kindness, and generosity.
Wanda is survived by her loving husband, Arnold Sitz, her children Melanie Krigbaum, John Sitz, and Karen Sitz-Kelly, her six grandchildren and her eight great-grandchildren. As a mother, Wanda's unconditional love, patience, and wisdom guided her children, becoming some of their most cherished memories. One of her most significant accomplishments was raising her three children with love and kindness, a feat she was immensely proud of.
Wanda had a vivacious personality that attracted many. An avid fan of the Los Angeles Dodgers and Arizona Cardinals, she enjoyed the thrill of the game and the camaraderie it brought. Her favorite game to play was Bridge, often accompanied by friendly banter and laughter. Reading and puzzle-solving were her preferred recreational activities, while walking was her exercise of choice, a testament to her simplicity and love for nature.
Always placing others before herself, Wanda had a soft spot for any non-profit that benefited animals. She believed in the power of unity and generosity, a belief she passed on to her descendants. Any bacon dish, Hot Dogs, Trifle, and Reeses Peanut Butter Cups were her favorite food items, their presence at family gatherings a constant source of joy and indulgence.
The best lesson Wanda imparted was the act of kindness. She strongly believed in treating everyone with respect and kindness, a lesson that has shaped the lives of her family members. Her legacy is one of generosity and love, a legacy that will live on in the hearts of those she left behind.
Wanda’s love extended beyond her immediate family, reaching everyone she met. Her loving and generous nature made her a pillar of her community and a beloved figure in her family.
Wanda's departure has left a void that cannot be filled. Yet, her life and love will continue to guide us. She will be greatly missed. Farewell, Wanda, your memory will always live on in our hearts.
Wanda requested a small, intimate luncheon with immediate family only, but we appreciate everyone's love and support and encourage everyone to share their favorite memories of Wanda on this memorial website.
