Wanda's obituary
It is with great sorrow that we share the passing of Wanda Martin. Affectionately known as Wandewey by some, Wanda was born on January 14, 1957 and peacefully passed away on November 24, 2024.
Wanda was well-loved, fun, outgoing, witty, funny, and above all, loving. Her vivacious spirit and infectious sense of humor could light up any room, warming the hearts of everyone around her.
One of Wanda's most notable accomplishments was her extraordinary gift in the kitchen. Her reputation as an amazing cook stretched far beyond her immediate family and friends. Her meals were a testament to her love for others, providing comfort and joy in every bite.
Wanda was preceded in death by her beloved husband James "Marty" Martin, grandson James Jackson, mother Trevia Fisher and sister Tina Fisher Webber.
Wanda is survived by her beloved daughter, Tashina & son-in-law Tony, 4 grandsons William, Dylan, Landon & Jack. Father Daniel and brothers Gary and Robert and bonus daughters Ashleigh, Melissa and Liz. The bond they all shared with Wanda was unbreakable and their memories will live on through them and all who knew Wanda.
A Celebration of Life will be held in Wanda's honor on December 14, 2024, at 5:00 PM. The service will take place at 298 Mustang Dr. All those who loved Wanda are invited to come together, share fond memories, and commemorate a truly wonderful life lived.
In lieu of flowers, a fund has been established to raise donations for Warehouse of Hope, where Wanda enjoyed volunteering every week. The family kindly asks that you consider contributing in Wanda's memory. Donations can be made at the following URL: https://everloved.com/life-of…
In person at the memorial or mailed directly to Warehouse of Hope 100 Hunter Rd, Douglasville, GA 30134 in Wanda's honor.
The family is asking those attending the celebration to wear a fun or ugly sweater/shirt or just something fun. Wanda loved having fun and that is how we want to celebrate her.
Wanda's magnetic personality, resilience, and love for life will be deeply missed. We are comforted knowing that she lived her life fully, touched many lives, and left an indelible impact on all who had the privilege of knowing her. May her beautiful soul rest in eternal peace.
