Wanda's obituary
Wanda Mahan gained her angel wings on December 10, 2022, in Milton-Freewater, OR at 87 years old.
At age 87, Wanda had lived a long life filled with adventures and always surrounded by family. She was a Daughter, Sister, Mom, Grandma, Aunt, Friend, and so much more.
Anyone who knew her could likely swap exciting stories that characterized her feisty, undaring attitude. She was a fighter. Quite the fighter. And she was resilient. Incredibly resourceful. And, by all means, an entrepreneur. She has passed these characteristics to her children and grandchildren. Providing generations of feisty, fighting, resilient, and resourceful entrepreneurs. Through which her legacy will always live on.
Wanda loved to travel and was always ready to hit the road in her motorhome when she was younger. She loved wearing beautiful hats. Sewing outfits for her porcelain dolls. Playing games. She also loved her family and Jesus Christ.
She was a baptized member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and loved reading her scriptures. After she learned Israel had a similar terrain to Kern County, you could catch her staring out her kitchen window at the rolling desert hills imagining what it would've been like to see Christ while He walked on the earth. Now years later, she doesn't have to imagine anymore because she's walking with Him.
