Wanda's obituary
Wanda Fay Harvin was born in Oakland, Alameda County, California to Loretta Marie Horton Hedrick and Douglas Charles Hedrick. After a long battle with lung cancer, she sadly passed away. She was a beloved daughter, sister, and mother.
Wanda spent her childhood in Oakland and Central Valley, Shasta County, California. In 1982, she returned to her hometown in Central Valley from Denham Springs, Livingston Parish, Louisiana. Throughout her career, she worked in nursing and teaching. Following her retirement, she enjoyed her time in Summit City, residing in the same neighborhood where her mother had retired.
An avid animal lover, Wanda had a special fondness for cockatiel birds. She often mentioned her desire to fly with her birds in heaven. Wanda is survived by her daughters, Dee Harvin and Shirley Daveshwar, her granddaughter Delia Marie Patton and Sahil Daveshwar, and her brother Marion Hedrick. Sadly, her son, Schley (Butch) Douglas Harvin, grandson Schley Douglas Daveshwar, brothers James and Bobby Hedrick, and sister Nadine Villa, preceded her in death.
Wanda will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her
