Wanda Gail Foster, 52, beloved Mother, Daughter, Sister and Friend, of Buena Vista, Virginia, passed away on August 3, 2016 at her Mother's home in Rockbridge Baths, Virginia, after battling Metastatic Breast Cancer for 6 years. Wanda was born on August 25, 1963 in Rockbridge County, the youngest of four children, to Virginia Jarvis Hostetter (now Virginia Bennington) and the late Thomas Albert Hostetter (1923-1995).

Wanda attended Lexington High School and later worked for the Lexington Golf and Country Club. Upon her diagnosis of cancer, Wanda retired as Executive Housekeeper with Best Western in 2010 having worked in Hotel Service for 25 years.

Wanda was a passionate woman with a fierce soul. She was wonderful, loving, and full of life. As a nature enthusiast, Wanda greatly enjoyed camping, fishing, hiking and generally exploring the outdoors. Wanda dearly loved her family and her friends. She will be greatly missed forever, especially by her children. She will forever live on in the memories of all who knew her. Her children especially will always have a special place for her in our hearts, minds, and souls.

In addition to her Father, Wanda is preceded in death by her husband, Lonnie Foster (1955-2013), and a Grandson, Jonathen Dale (Heaven Born in 2007).

In addition to her Mother, Wanda is survived by a Sister, Carolyn Hostetter Lilly, two Brothers, Thomas Hostetter, and Gary Hostetter and wife Janet, two Children; a Daughter, Karyn Brown Gardner and husband Joshua, and a Son, Zachary Brown, her ex-husband, Roger Brown, with whom she'd reconciled in 2014, three nephews, one niece, several extended family members and many friends.

It was Wanda's personal request that she have no funeral and to be cremated having her ashes later interred with her children. A memorial marker will be placed in the Gardner Brown Family Cemetery, as yet to be established.
