Wanda's obituary
It is with heavy hearts we announce the peaceful passing of Wanda "Gawa" Davis, lovingly known as Wanda, on July 22, 2021. Born on April 6, 1927, she lived a full and vibrant life marked by kindness and warmth.
She will be immensely missed by her loving children, Pamela Marsano and Cyrus Davis. Wanda's unwavering strength, resilience, and dedication were clearly evident in the dynamic she maintained as a single mother raising two children while working diligently as a pharmacist.
Wanda's faith was an important part of her life. As a regular attendee at the First Lutheran Church, she found comfort and community among her fellow worshipers. Wanda was also an active member of her community, with her service extending to her work as a volunteer at the El Monte Senior Presidents Council and her organizational efforts at the El Monte Senior Center.
Described as having a bubbly, warm, witty, prompt loving, caring personality, with the best sense of humor ever, Wanda's presence was cherished by all who had the privilege to know her. One of her great life lessons was the belief in treating others as you would want to be treated - a lesson she embodied and shared widely.
Wanda leaves behind a legacy of kindness, gentleness, and a unyielding love for her family and friends. She might be gone but she will definitely not be forgotten. As we mourn her loss, we celebrate the influence she had on our lives and the enduring memories she leaves behind.
