Wally, as my father ( Jimmy Davis ) called him... was a precious, pure-hearted soul, touched (humbly) so many beyond words. May our Father in Heaven grant your family the peace that passes all understanding. Thank You "Wally", for the man you are, the brotherhood you established & for the life you gave to your family & community. God Speed! xo - Stephanie Davis
I met Wally in 1975 on Tybee Island. He and his Undercover Agents stayed at my Parents Motel. My father Major Chuck Bishop of the Tybee Island Police Department told me they played in a band. They were there for many months. I was working at the FBI in Savannah at the time I met him. He had not met ,Lynnn yet. We dated a few times. And remained true friends all these many years. It was just last week we spoke by phone. He was the reason I became one of the First Female GBI agents in 1976. I owe my career to his mentoring of me! When I retired We were of equal rankSAC. He was always the rock that I could depend on . I knew our relationship was special as I have never had a more loyal friendship. I hope I made him proud . I was certainly blessed to have had him in my life . Once he brought me a beautiful magnolia in bloom in a large glass brandy Snifner. I still have it to this day. When I retired he he gave me a beautiful Crystal heart. My last conversation he talked about how full his life had been and how he had a great family and his sons were so special to him. He was loved by many, like me. Take comfort in knowing he was one of a kind! The best of the best! My condolences and Kindest regards SAC Fran Bishop Wiley
