Walter E. “Pete” Wilson Sr., 63, of Kansas City, Kansas, passed away peacefully on April 21, 2025, in Jefferson City, Missouri.

Born on May 22, 1961, in Jefferson City to Charles and Gladys Wilson, Pete was raised in Kansas City, Ks,  where he spent most of his life. He is remembered for his warm presence and infectious laugh that brought joy to those around him.

Pete is lovingly remembered by his five children—Jessica, Allie, Jennifer, Walter Jr., and Andrew; and his grandchildren Phillip, Mia, Angelina, Amari, Aaron, Alonzo, Clarissa, Sylvia, and Andrew Jr., also his siblings Charles Jr., Cheryl, Terry Sr., and Sondra.  He was also blessed with one great-grandchild, Myayla. Many nieces and nephews also held a special place in his heart.

An avid outdoorsman and devoted Kansas City Chiefs fan, Pete’s spirited “Chieeeefs!” cheer will echo fondly in the memories of those who knew him. Above all else, he cherished time spent with family, sharing laughter, stories, and moments that will be treasured forever.

May his memory bring comfort to those who knew him.
