A smart, hard working & mischievous man, Walter fearlessly led our team.  He was a friend and I will miss him dearly.  Rest in peace & bless you, Walter.  My deepest condolences to his family.   

Have always looked up to Walter for his tremendous expertise and work experience, can do attitude and calm, pragmatic approach to solving problems even in the most stressful situations. He was always very responsive and took the time to explain even the most complex issue in a simple and understandable way. Have learned a lot from Walter and will miss his humour, friendly personality and irreplaceable expertise. May he rest in peace and my thoughts and prayers are with him and his family.

I worked fairly closely with Walter over the last few years. We spent some time traveling with each other to GE events. Walter was always sharp and often made me laugh. He would con me into carrying his encoder through out the airport. He spoke often about his children with a huge smile. One of the nicest people I had the pleasure working with at GE.  Loved when we would have dinner together and talk about anything and everything. We would love poking fun at Steve Kline. Many, many great memories. You will be missed Walter! 

Walter was first my boss, then a mentor, and over the course of 2 decades became a close friend.  I will miss hearing his stories about Austin, Grace, Bill, and Mike, all of whom he spoke so often and fondly about.  His presence will be missed at every GE broadcast and personally speaking, I will miss his friendship and guidance.  My deepest condolences to his family.

I was very sad when I heard the news of Walter's passing. Even though i haven't got a chance to work with Walter directly other than few email exchange, however, i knew Walter and his team very well through my colleagues in the US. Walter was a great person and have helped GE with so many successfull events.

May Walter's soul rest in peace. May god give strength to his family members and loved ones.

Walter Stearn and his team worked closely with our team at GE over many years and he was one of the smartest and most technically proficient people in the corporate broadcast space.  On top of that he was super friendly, easy to work with and just a genuine nice guy.  He will be missed.
