Walter's obituary
Bud loved his family and enjoyed spending time with his loved ones. He always wanted to ensure everyone was happy. He spent his free time worshiping the Lord. His favorite thing to do was singing the Lord’s praises and reading his bible. His life was a living example of his favorite Bible verse, John 14:6 - Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.
When Bud was not reading the Lord’s words or signing, he loved fishing and spending time with his grandchildren.
Bud held many jobs, the one he was most proud of was his 20 years with the Youth Development Center. He would spend hours reminiscing on the youth that he worked with. Those experiences shaped him into the man that he was and that we all knew.
Bud is survived by his wife Claire Roberts; his children, Christopher Roberts, Anthony Roberts, Lynne Burden, Janet Hunnicutt, Leigh Knighton, Deena Stevenson & Brandy Brighum; his sisters Grace Roberts, Sunshine Hill & Lorine Tammalin; plus, many grandchildren and great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents John Henry Roberts & Fannie Lou Roberts; his brothers Douglas Roberts & John B Roberts; his sisters Lucy Leslie, Lois Mills & Katie Jo McDonald.
A Celebration of Life will be scheduled after the New Year. Announcements will be made available at a later date.
