A much loved husband, Father, Grandfather, Great-grandfather, Son, and Brother, Walter (Walt) Lewis Rhoades passed away peacefully in his home on Monday, February 28,2022 in Murrell’s Inlet, SC. He bravely confronted and fought cancer. He was born February 26, 1946. He served honorably in the United States Air Force from 1961 to 1964.  He served as a Patrolman of the Middletown Township police force until 1989. He loved fishing at the Marsh Walk in Georgetown, South Carolina, where he and Barbara spent many sun filled days on the pier. Proceeded in death by Thomas and Margaret Rhoades (Delp), and Marjorie, his sister. He is survived by his beloved wife of 32 years, Barbara Ann Rhoades; his children, Deborah Ann Nagel and her husband, Paul, 4 grandchildren; Tammy Glatz and husband Michael, 3 grandchildren; Walter Rhoades and wife, Christina, 4 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; 2 nieces and 2 nephews. No funeral will be held. There will be a celebration of life with the family and invited friends to be set at a later date.
