Walter was a dear friend from childhood of my late husband Robert W. Jones. They knew each other as kids in Martha's Vineyard in summer. He became dear to me also - kind and welcoming when I came to the USA  to marry Robert- went out of his way to make me feel like family.  I miss his support, his affection, his constant curiosity, his tolerance and his affirmation of goodness and humility as practices of a happy life.  And he and Cheryle were the perfect couple!  Not surprising he did not live long after she passed. It was a privilege and blessing to know them. 

Walter , may you rest in peace my friend.  You will be missed.   Holly Perry

I was introduced to Walter many years ago in Barbados thru his old friend Holly Perry! Many a good time with Walter and Cheryl over the years! He will be remembered fondly. Rest in peace
