Update from March 1, 2025

Walt passed peacefully at 4 a.m. in Pueblo, Colorado, after some time in hospice care. We are grateful for the time we had.

After three serious medical emergencies in the past year, Walt chose comfort over continued hospitalization. Instead of pain and suffering, we embraced mortality. We honored his wishes by allowing him to spend his remaining time with dignity and peace.

In the months preceding, his son, Alan, was able to visit, share quality time, play guitar, sing songs by Bob Dylan and songs by Walt. In a way, we were all fortunate to have time to share and express gratitude and love and say farewell.
