Walter's obituary
Walter Morey Goldsberry, 66, of Monroeville, IN, passed away on March 25, 2022. Walt was born on June 9th, 1955 to Clara and Henry Goldsberry in Lima, Ohio. After attending Garrett High School, he joined the United States Marine Corps, where he was a private in the First Battalion Platoon 1077. He worked for many years as a mechanic and a CNC machinist before retiring from B.F. Goodrich.
Walt was a devoted son, husband, brother, father, grandfather, and uncle. He is survived by his wife of 36 years, Bonnie, sons Jeremy and Samuel, daughters Desirée and Jessica, grandsons Braedon, Dabrien, Jackson, Louis, and Grayson and granddaughter Leah, as well as a host of nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his mother and stepfather Clara and Gerald High, father Henry, brothers Jeffery and David, and sister Pamela.
Walt loved watching football and listening to rock & roll. He was a die-hard fan of the Indianapolis Colts and Lynyrd Skynyrd. His favorite athletes were Johhny Unitas and Larry Bird. He enjoyed having a couple beers while cooking on the grill for family and friends. Fishing and playing guitar were hobbies he enjoyed in his spare time.
Walter did not want a funeral service. The family will have a memorial in June, where there will be a military service. Additional details will be shared at a later date.
