WALT helped me by referring me to his lawyer.  Thanks to him I was then able to obtain custody of my grandchildren from the state of PA!  I will always be grateful for this.  we both worked at the Post Office and had lunch together often.  He was always willing to help others and he will be missed

I am truly sorry for the loss of your father.  Not only was he my mail carrier but my friend for many years...We use to hunt and fish together over the many years..I will keep you and your family in my prayers

My condolences to family. You are in my prayers! I met Walt in July '86  at 30th st. Postoffice. We both were taking the physical  and driving test to become letter carriers. I remember him driving his purple AMC Javelin   (He loved that car)  I parked in same row as him. When we were done testing we all walked to parking lot and he seen me freaking out cause I locked my keys in car. He helped me that day trying to get into my car. We we there for an hour or 2 before we finally got a cop with a slim jim or something to help out. He didn't have to help but he did and we became friends! We both were subs at Boulevard station  and we would go eat everyday at a little place called Papa Joes and talk about sports and music and eat until we had to go back to work! We both had seniority dates 7/19/86. Every Friday after work we went to a bar called Frostys Saloon on bustleton ave.  We were there for alot of hours drinking and listening to the jukebox  and playing bar video games. Some of his favorites were Steve Winwood and Boston! After we became regular Walt went to Mt.Airy I think and I went to Fairmont station. We still met at the bar on fridays. After that Walt went to Frankford and I went to Foxchase.  We played softball together for a bar league ,we joined a fitness club together and worked out 4 times a week. We stopped going to Frostys for some reason or another after Walt got married and only seen  him sparingly then. I did bring my ladder over in my truck one day to help him put christmas lights on house him and Ann ( i think that's was her name) had. That was an adventure with the lights but we had a good time. We lost contact for awhile until fate brought us together at Bustleton station for one reason or another.    (that's a whole another story)  At Bustleton we would reminisce about the good old days and what led us to Bustleton station! It was fate I said to him! Since then we went out to breakfast a few times and chatted and then the group breakfast with the retirees!  I am so sad writing this! Walt was a good guy and would do anything to help you. I will think of you every time MLK day comes up on calendar.  RIP buddy! You will be missed!
