Wallace Edward Mathews, MD, went to his eternal rest on Saturday, Oct. 28, 2023 with family at his bedside. He was born August 25, 1932 to Samuel and Sarah Elizabeth (Smythe) Mathews in Duluth, MN. After graduating from Morgan Park High School in 1950, he attended the University of Minnesota in Duluth and obtained a Bachelor’s Degree in Zoology in 1954.
