Wally's obituary
Wallace “Wally” Franko
Wally was a devoted husband, a loving dad, an amazing Papa, a son, a brother, an uncle and just an overall great man. He passed away at his home on Sunday, December 12th, 2021 surrounded by his family after a long battle with cancer.
Wally was born on November 17th, 1960 in Lompoc, California. He moved to Rogue River, Oregon in 1971 and attended grade school through high school where he met his wife, Debby, of 42 years. After graduating high school in 1978 he stayed in the valley working. He moved to the Bay area for a short while but decided he didn’t enjoy being so far away from his family and moved back a year later and married the love of his life on August 18th, 1979 at the Rogue River Assembly of God.
Wally loved to shoot guns in the mountains with family and friends, go hunting and camping, he loved to hang out with his old buddies from high school, spend time with his wife and take care of his family. However, what he truly loved was spending time with all his grandkids.
In addition to his wife, Debby, Wally is survived by his three daughters: Amanda- husband Kris, Ashley- husband Jordan, and Amber- husband Loren. His father James, his two sisters- Dalinda and Carol, and a brother. Wally has eight grandchildren- Addison, Nathan, Rylee, Kasen, Hudson, Kinley, Aftyn, and Kash.

Even in the end, his focus was on making sure those around him were ok. It’s a true testament to his compassion and genuine love for his family.
