On October 24, 2023, Von Ricarlo Harris left this world bound for greener pastures. He was 69 years young. Despite the hardships of his last days, Von lived some of his last moments as he did his most lively ones - instigating rapturous laughter in those around him with his bold, wise-cracking humor. He’s now graduated to a heavenly audience.

Von was born to John Harris Sr. and Shirley Harris (née Herrington) on July 15, 1954 in Augusta, GA. After graduating from T.W. Josey High School, he worked for many notable locally-owned small businesses, including Sconyers Bar-B-Que where he dedicated more than 20 years of his labor helping fill people’s bellies with food and their spirits with laughter. When not working, Von enjoyed traveling with family - especially to the beach - being witty, and watching old Western movies and TV shows.
