Background
All expressions of sympathy and support are greatly appreciated by our family and we encourage you to express your solidarity in whatever way that is most meaningful to you. We would like to offer the choice of a monetary donation to help with end of life expenses as well.
Our loved one, Von, required full-time care towards the end of his life. When he was moved to a permanent nursing facility in 2022, his funds where diverted to pay for this care and the personal life insurance he'd proudly held for years was lost. His many pre-existing conditions meant that procuring new insurance was an almost impossible task and, thus, our family is doing our best to come together to ensure Von has a nice memorial (the full cost of which has been listed as our fundraising goal).
