Our dearest uncle Vova - my mother’s only brother. There were four of them, but he was the last living relative on my mother’s side. Ever since my mom passed away 18 years ago, he never forgot to call me on her and my father’s birthdays to remember them.

Even though we lived far apart, he made the effort to come to important family moments – my daughter’s wedding, my granddaughters’ birthdays – to be with us. His gentle and calm voice always brought warmth and comfort

We will miss his kindness and care deeply. With his passing, I feel as if I have lost not only my uncle, but also the last piece of my childhood. But we will continue to carry on all the good memories of him in our hearts.

In loving memory… 🕯️
