Vivian Jeanette Lee (Foster), 97 of Hartford, CT passed away peacefully, surrounded by her grandchildren, on June 10, 2024, in Hartford, CT.

Born March 11, 1927, she was the eighth of nine children of Annie and Homer Foster. Vivian was a resident of Hartford CT. her entire life. She was predeceased by her daughter Pamela Williams, sons Dwight and Wesley Lee, and grandson Stacey Williams. She is survived by her beloved daughter Crystal Hogan of Hartford, CT, 8 grandchildren Pamela Garcia and her husband Fred (Pam), Kristen Harris and her husband Kristoffer, (Crystal), Vivian Lee, Ashley Lee, Joyce Heaven and her husband Dwight, Marcia Lee, and Shannon Lee (Dwight), Yvette Logan (Wesley); and 22 great-grandchildren.

Vivian was a Paraprofessional who worked in the Harford School system for over 25 years retiring in 1993.

Vivian’s favorite thing to do was cook for her family and friends; what a wonderful cook she was! She loved entertaining and would welcome friends and family members into her home anytime. You never needed to call ahead to visit “Auntie Vivian” or “Viv”.

Those who encountered Vivian would say she was a spirited, strong, and remarkable woman who showed unwavering resolve in everything she did.

If you asked her what she was most proud of, she would unequivocally answer…her family.  Her grandchildren were the light of her life. She instilled fearlessness in them and encouraged them to face challenges with confidence, and bravery.
