Virginia Ruth DeFinis, 69, affectionately known as Ginger of Cleveland, TN passed away peacefully on November 2nd, 2023.

She was born June 14th, 1954 in West Morristown, NJ. She lived all over the country from New Jersey, Maryland, Washington state, and Tennessee as she enjoyed travel and seeing new places.

Ginger was a true joy and a unique woman with strong values. She was well loved by everyone who met her. She always had a passion for classic rock music and sitting outside watching a bon fire or thunder storms. Any gathering being surrounded by family, friends, and good food was her favorite thing to do.

Survivors include Ginger’s two children; daughter Heather Hooks and her partner Seth as well as her son Andrew Boyd and his wife Samantha. Ginger had four grandchildren Alexandria, Cohen, Daniel, and Charlotte. She also had many friends and neighbors who have become extended family.

A celebration of life gathering is scheduled in Cleveland, November 11th at 2pm. To honor Ginger’s wishes, there are no funeral arrangements. Ginger wished to be cremated and released on Mt. Rainier in Washington to join her father and sister.
