Virginia's obituary
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Virginia "Ginny" Cole. Better known as Ginny to her friends. Virginia passed away on February 12, 2025. Ginny was born, raised and lived most of her life in Chatham, NJ before moving to Roxbury Township, NJ and finally to Middletown, NY.
Born on March 10, 1933, Virginia was a woman of strength and grace, leaving a lasting impression on everyone fortunate enough to have known her. She had an infectious laugh and a generous heart that brightened the world around her. She was a wonderful role model.
Virginia lived her life to the fullest, imbuing everything she did with a sense of passion and dedication. She had a spirit of adventure that was infectious and inspired those around her. To know Virginia was to know happiness, resilience, and unyielding love.
Her absence leaves a void that cannot be filled, but her spirit lives on in the memories she left behind. While it is a deeply sorrowful time, we choose to celebrate Virginia's incredible journey of life, cherishing the love and warmth she bestowed upon us all.
Virginia is pre-deceased by her husband Joseph K Cole. Survivors include her sisters, Joan Mencl, and Edna (Chanley) Lipyanek, and brother William Chanley, her children, Judy (Cole) Spindler, Joseph K. Cole and Jill (Cole) Dunn and their loving spouses Bill Spindler, and Daniel Dunn. Her grandchildren: Steven Spindler his spouse Carissa, Sarah Spinder and her Spouse Panfilo, Daniel Spindler and Spouse Noee, Laura (Spindler) Downey and Spouse Matthew and last but not least Dylan Dunn. She also has nine beautiful great grandchildren: Tyson, Reiley, Hailey, Ruby, Ari, Sofia, Stephanie, Natalie, and Mason. A celebration of life memorial service to honor Ginny to be determined. T.S. Purta Funeral Home is handling arrangements. She will be forever loved and cherished by all who knew her!
As we mourn the loss of Virginia "Ginny" Cole, may we all remember her indomitable spirit, her infectious laughter and her unwavering love and support. She may be gone from our sight, but never from our hearts.
