Virginia's obituary
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Virginia Armel on July 4, 2025. Born on August 28, 1929, Virginia graced this world with her warmth, wit, and passion for life, leaving a significant imprint on the hearts of all who knew her.
Virginia was predeceased by her loving husband Jack Armel, whom she married in 1950, her thoughtful brother Bill Hellman and her nurturing mother Alice Hellman. Her spirited personality and zest for life live on through her four children; Patti Boudreaux, Kathy Tschoerner, Bob Bodine, Joe Bodine, her eight grandchildren and her fourteen great-grandchildren.
An avid volunteer at the Seton Center, Virginia dedicated great portions of her life to serve those in need, particularly through Catholic ministries. She also found great joy in music, often lighting up a room not with grand gestures, but with her melodious singing and her love for her favorite tunes. A fan of the Kansas City Chiefs, Virginia had a range of interests that spanned from sports to crossword puzzles to creating beautiful flower gardens.
Known for her culinary expertise, she enjoyed cooking food that not only delighted the taste buds but also warmed the heart. A voracious reader and avid traveler, Virginia found great joy in exploring new places, with Lake of the Ozarks, Hawaii, and Ireland among her favorite destinations.
Virginia was a beacon of warmth and light, always willing to offer a laugh and an encouraging word. Even in her final chapter, her sense of humor remained unquenched, and her spirit remained undimmed. Her lessons of kindness, laughter, love, and joy continue to resonate in the lives of those she touched.
Virginia's enduring legacy is not just in her kin but also in the love, joy, and kindness she shared with the world. She has left a lasting impact on our hearts, and she will be dearly missed.
