Virgil “Dutch” Brizendine, 76, of California, MO passed away on Saturday, January 14, 2023 at the Capital Region Medical Ctr. in Jefferson City, MO. He was born on August 6, 1946 the son of Ira and Viola (Sanders) Brizendine both of whom preceded him in death. He was married on June 18, 2005 in California, MO to Lois (Brown) Brizendine who survives of the home. Dutch was a member of the Tabernacle Pentecostal Church in California, MO. He enjoyed being around family, fishing, watching NASCAR and the Kansas City Chiefs. He worked in maintenance at the California Care Center for many years. He is survived by his wife, Lois Brizendine of the home; 2 sons from a previous marriage, Ely and Andrew Brizendine both of California, MO; sister, Belenda Buchanan of Holts Summit, MO; 6 grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by 2 brothers, Bill Ponder and Marion Niehaus; twin sister, Virginia Brizendine and nephew Daren Cram. There are no scheduled services at this time.
