Viola Mattox, 92, gained her angel wings on October 02, 2022 at her home in Crawfordsville, IN. 

Viola was born on March 17, 1930 in Lafayette, Indiana to the late Herbert and Mary (Brogdon) Smith. She was a 1947 graduate of Crawfordsville High School. In 1949 she married her husband of 58 years, Harold Mattox Sr.  She was a talented musician who played several instruments and a master gardener. Not a day went by where Viola didn't talk about how much her children and family meant to her -- her family was arguably her most important achievement in life.

Viola is survived by her loving sons Harold Jr. of Glendale, Arizona, Michael of Ft. Wayne, Indiana and Bobby of Nashville, Tennessee, 18 grandchildren, 43 great grandchildren and 4 great-great grandchildren. Viola was predeceased by her husband Harold Sr. and daughter Brenda Mattox.
