Vincent's obituary

Vincent Wallace Brooks Sr. of Sanbornville, NH passed away Thursday, October 6, 2022, after a short illness with his family by his side.

Vincent was born on August 28, 1950, one of nine children born to the late Carlyle and Martha Brooks who raised their children in Middleton, NH.

Vincent and his wife Gloria built their own house and raised their children in Sanbornville. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, trapping, and camping in his younger years. He spent his working years doing masonry work making beautiful stone walls, logging, and being a caretaker for many years for camps around Lovell Lake in Sanbornville, where he met and befriended many wonderful people. In his later years, he enjoyed spending time with his wife Gloria watching their grandchildren grow up, and spending time with “The Boys” in the garage. In his free time, he spent time building a treehouse and putting up tire swings for his grandchildren. He enjoyed the family dogs, Bailey and Fritzie, and Horse Shammy who he had to give 2 carrots each morning.

Vinny was a great Husband, Father, Poppa, and Friend. He was a kind and generous man, who would do anything for anyone. He was loved by all that met him. He will be forever loved and missed. Every memory with him is cherished.

Predeceased by a son Carlyle Brooks, brothers Louis Brooks, Gary Brooks, Samuel Walker, James Brooks, and Theodore Brooks, and his sisters Sandra Brooks and Terri Mack.

Vincent is survived by his loving wife and soulmate of 52 years Gloria Brooks (Bailey) of Sanbornville, NH, Daughter Sara Brooks of Sanbornville, NH, Son Vincent Brooks Jr. and wife Marsha of Wolfeboro, NH, Daughter Mindy Brooks (Smith) of ME.

Grandchildren he leaves behind: Destiny Anderson and Partner Jacob Knowlton of E. Nephew (who was like a son) Samuel Brooks and wife Coreen of Sanbornville, NH, Brother George Brooks of Rochester, NH. Including many beloved nieces, nephews, cousins, and special friends.
