Victor's obituary

Victor Ray Thame (Winky) age 72 went home on July 11, 2021.  He was predeceased by his parents Victor Ralph Thame and Betty Louise Pearce Thame.  He is survived by a daughter Cheyanne Morad (Stephen) and grandson Zane; 3 brothers Hedley Thame (Lynn) of Woodbury, NJ; Mark Thame (Charles Selleck) of Greenwich, NJ; John Thame of Salem, NJ; a sister Carol Thame of Trenton, NJ. and several nieces and  nephews.

Victor Ray Thame was born in Bridgeton, NJ August 14, 1948 and attended Seabrook and Hopewell Elementary schools.  He graduated from Bridgeton High School in 1966  where he excelled as a  wrestler. He attended Cumberland County College for 1 year before joining the Marines where he served 2 tours of duty in Vietnam serving in  radio and communications.  He continued his career in the service relocating to San Francisco, California.  

Victor moved to Albuquerque, New Mexico where he married Marcella Blea. Victor and Marcella traveled throughout the US and relocated to Fayetteville, North Carolina. He rejoined the military as a recruiter for several years before relocating to Mullica Hill, NJ where Victor worked in radio and TV repair.  After several years Victor and Marcella mutually agreed to divorce.

Victor lived an active lifestyle often seen jogging through the community and had competed in numerous marathons in Philadelphia,  He enjoyed history, chess and political conversation.  He was a quiet spoken man who would help out anyone in need.
