Vesta "Vicky" Ott passed away at the age of 85 at the Berthoud Living Center in Berthoud, Colorado on Christmas Eve, 2018 at about 1 pm. Vicky was born, Vesta Marie Hawk, on July 20th, 1933, in the state of Pennsylvania to Wilma Eugenia Hawk and Arthur Murray Hawk. She had four brothers; David, La Verne, Ardell and Rodney and one sister, Sharon. Vicky is survived by three daughters; Judy, Paula, and Dorene, a son, Keith, four grandchildren; Aron, Arlei, Travis and Treva, and four great-granddaughters; Jaylee, Adria, Evalee, and Cassandra. Vicky has been reunited in heaven with her father Arthur, mother Wilma, husband George, brothers Ardell, Rodney, David, and La Verne, Sister Sharon, and her youngest son Darwin. Vicky brought joy to the lives of all who knew her with her thoughtful thrift store gifts, zany sense of humor, and her infectious laughter. Vicky traveled across the country with her husband George Ott, where she collected countless novelties from each of the states and national parks she visited. During her time living in California, Vicky enjoyed working as a florist at several Los Angeles bay area flower shops. Vicky loved collecting pearls from Kobe Pearls, a local pearl farmer near L.A. She loved walking with her grandchildren; Aron, Arlei, Travis, and Treva, to the Redondo Beach pier where they would buy and open oyster shells. Vicky moved to Colorado in 1995 shortly after her daughter Dorene, her son in law Paul and her four grandkids, so that she could be close to her family. They enjoyed family outings to Garden of the Gods, Cave of the Winds, and many trips to Big Bear Lake California for annual family camping trips. Vicky enjoyed her retirement in Loveland, CO spending her weekend's thrift shopping and attending events put on by the Derby Hill Baptist Church of Loveland. Vicky dutifully volunteered with the Loveland Police Department's Loveland Senior Police program for twelve years where she made many of her longtime friends. Vicky moved to the Berthoud Living Center in Berthoud, CO in early 2017 where she enjoyed socializing with other residents, trips to the on-site hair salon, and the many facility events joined by her friends and family.
