Veronica's obituary
Veronica ""Baby"" Goodman, daughter of the late Mary Frances Massey and Grant (Waxine)Goodman, and granddaughter of the late Isaac and Nannie Goodman and the late Ms Ossie Gillespie.was born November 3, 1954, in Norfolk, VA. Baby accepted Christ into her life at an early age and was baptised under the leadership of Reverend Albert Harris, Sr at 2nd Israelite M.B. Church where she became a Deaconness.
She attended the public schools of Dougherty County. Baby worked for the school system for 12 years as a bus driver.
In 1975 she was joined in holy matrimony to the late Agnew Lewis , Sr. Baby joined Bible way baptist church where she served on the deaconess board. She later moved her member ship back to Isrealite Baptist church where she served as a faithful member up until her untimely death.
On Friday, June 28th, Baby quietly entered into eternal rest at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital.
In addition to her parents and late husband Veronica was preceded in death by seven siblings; Tyrone, Patsy, Shirley, Carolyn, Denise, Ricky Lucas, and Ricky Goodman.
She is survived by her three sons, Eddie "John"Goodman, Reverend Agnew (Carruth) Lewis, and Derek Lewis all of Albany; Four grandchildren, Johnna, and Kaylee of Albany ga; Eddie Jr, and Edasia of Houston, Texas. Four sisters, Theresa Bradley (Donald), of Miami, FL, Mary Ann Petty of Powder Springs, GA, Jackie Williams (Don) of Atlanta, Ga, and Connie Goodman of Albany, GA; six brothers, Glenn Lucas (Shirley), Wallace Lucas, Terry Lucas, Timothy Goodman, all of Albany GA, Michael Lucas of Miami Fl, and Corey Goodman (Shondreka) of Valdosta, GA.; a dear aunt, Mary Alice Walker of Albany Ga; three close cousins Valgean Harris, Nita Harris and Gloria Atkins, all of Albany GA and a very dear and special niece Tanda (Brad) Holley, of Albany GA. and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
