Dearest Vernon,

You meant so much to us. You opened your arms and home to us and generously welcomed us into your family. You are an amazing uncle, husband, father, brother and friend and touched the lives of all who were lucky enough to meet you. My heart breaks for the loss of you in the lives of Amy, Kiera, Elyssa, your parents, family and friends. Thank you for everything, rest well brother.

All our love,

My sincere condolences to Amy, Elyssa, Kiera and the rest of Vern’s family on his  passing. One of the kindest, thoughtful and caring people I have ever met!

Vern showed my family & I nothing but love when we came and visited Fairfield.  Nothing but great memories of my time with Vern. Even though we are so far away I always thought I’d see him again in this life 😢

Not to be unfortunately! Rest in peace mate - I’ll never forget you!!!

My heartfelt condolences! This one hurts😢Vernon was one of a kind for sure. I speak for myself and my deceased husband when I say thank you Vernon for being the best  son in law ever! He truly loved his wife daughters and family but have enough to be a great person and friend. God got him another good one . See you on the other side ….. much love

Not a day goes by that I don't think of you, Vern. My heart truly aches with this news. You were not just my boss, but also my friend. We worked together for about 12 years, and I saw you go from parts to sales, then to #1 Sales, and finally to Sales Director and my boss. We interacted nearly every day, and you helped me immensely with my work and truly understood me. I could always count on you; if I needed anything, you would deliver.

I didn't expect this and I wish I had said more in our last conversation, but I thought I’d speak to you again in a few days. Your guidance, kindness, and friendship meant the world to me. I'm deeply grateful for the times we shared and the impact you had on my life. You will be greatly missed, but your spirit will continue to inspire those who knew you.

My prayers are with your family during this difficult time. May they find comfort and strength in the love and memories you left behind. As it is written in Psalm 34:18, "The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit." May God's presence bring peace to all who mourn your loss.

God bless, Vern. Rest in peace.

Elyssa, my heart and love go out to you and your family on the loss of your dad.
Deepest condolences Amy, Elyssa, Kiara  and to Vern’s entire family. Vern was my very first Sonsray friend and have worked with him for just over 9 years. He grew to be such an important person in my life and became sort of a mentor to me. He was always there to give me career advice and listen to me vent about life in general and encouraged me to rise above and move forward; he definitely never failed to call me out when I was the problem. It’s rare you find a friend that cares enough to tell you hard truths, and his wisdom is very missed. He never failed to make all of us laugh, I will miss his telling jokes and then chuckling loudly as if he had just heard the joke himself for the first time. He was brash but selfless and would help anyone who needed it. His passing is a profound loss that I know is felt daily across Sonsray. I hope your hearts find comfort and start to heal as you hear all the wonderful things people have to share about him. He loved you ladies deeply, that’s known to anyone that knows him. ❤️

My heart continues to weep for the loss of my close friend and mentor. My thoughts, prayers, and love continue to go out to the whole family for this tragic loss.

St. Francis Prayer

Lord, make me an instrument of your peace. Where there is hatred, let me sow love; where there is injury, pardon; where there is doubt, faith; where there is despair, hope; where there is darkness, light; and where there is sadness, joy. O Divine Master, grant that I may not so much seek to be consoled as to console; to be understood as to understand; to be loved as to love. For it is in giving that we receive; it is in pardoning that we are pardoned; and it is in dying that we are born to eternal life. Amen.
