How you can help
Vernita is our beloved sister, daughter, cousin, and friend. She contracted COVID 19 in December of 2020. The health care system did everything to ensure she was better before sending her back home.
Our beloved was essential to the long-term care of our mother. Momma is suffering from dementia, poverty, and requires constant care. This loss is life changing because we are challenged with missing our Vernita, and our mother is being impacted with the loss of a daughter, caregiver, buddy, and roommate.
We need help with paying for the funeral as we try to figure out how to maintain our family home which is preventing our mother from being eligible for Medicaid. This home is all that we have as a memorial from our parents vision to provide for us as children and grandchildren. Sadly, we may have to lose the family home which provides a safe haven for many in our community to include extended family, cousins, and others.
In the past and until this day our family has always been a help to others; we are now the ones in need. If you are able we ask for your help with crossing this daunting task of transitioning our sister with a proper homegone service.
May the Lord watch between me and thee while we are absent from one another... Contribute
