Vernice's obituary

Vernice Harbert, a cherished member of her family and community was born in Palestine, Texas.  She served over thirty years as a Licensed Vocational Nurse at Parkland Hospital in Dallas, Texas. She was an artist at heart, known for her vibrant personality and her love for her family.

After a life of service and creativity, Vernice transitioned peacefully from mortality to immortality in Dallas, Texas. She was preceded in death by her mother, Rita Williams; her father, Isaac Williams; and her sister Helen Bordeaux. 

Vernice is survived by her husband Herbert Harbert; her daughters Brenda Harbert, Michele Harbert Hill (Larry), Evette Harbert and her son Michael Harbert; her grandchildren Aaron Harbert, Ericka Harbert, Audri Harbert, Breanna Harbert, Simone Hill, Cortney Mosley and Dominique Givens; her great-grand children Qualan Mornes, Qun’dre Mornes, Akireyha Mornes, D’Cameron Harbert and Faith Givens; nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of family and friends. She leaves behind a legacy of love and creativity that will continue to inspire all who knew her.
