Verna Olive Fullerton passed away on June 9, 2019, at home, while under hospice care, and attended by family. She is survived by her 3 sons: Derek Fullerton,(Margaret), of Prince George, B.C., Alan Fullerton,(Sharon Lingenfelter), of Campbell River, B.C. and Glen Fullerton,(Vickie) of Phoenix, Az., her brother Lorne Gudmundson,( Lil) of Edmonton, Alberta, sister Fay Knoll of Edmonton, Alberta, sister-in-law Betty Gudmundson of Edmonton, Alberta, as well as multiple grand-children, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews and their families. She was born in Gunn, Alberta, Canada in a generation of fearlessness and exploration. Her stories of her journeys from horseback with her sister and all over the globe with her husband, who had worked for Canadian Pacific Airlines, were stuff dreams are made of. Many of the last few decades were split between traveling the country in an RV or wintering in Surprise while golfing. The last few years were spent divided between her summer home in Campbell River and her Surprise, Arizona room. She never stopped traveling, even in her mind. She was a perpetual hostess with her house always welcome to guests. She had many friends and neighbors, who she socialized with and who watched over her with care. In her latest journey, with hospice, she requested privacy and aloneness. She was able to have peace and freedom from pain as she left this planet for new adventures. Her wishes were for no memorials or funerals, but to celebrate by living your own adventure.
