They were too NUMEROUS To name them all! The first one that comes to mind is when I was headed down to bad area to search for a loved one whom was displaced. The park was a common place for people to find a place to go have a sink water & a place to try & rest, I was needing to get down there in a hurry & wanted lots of supplies to give away while I was there , FOOD water & things to clean up a bit I was busy gathering this all when VERA CAME IN to discover me packing up stuff for the next day, AS USUAL she went in & loaded a basket I think at the local stores & brought all that to me too! It was a successful project & I made my goal & what I went for & my extra supplies were a wonderful blessing for some people there. Then we have kitten rescues & sending care packages to people who needed them & so many it would take all day! We love you & miss you so much VERA

Vera and I were at a Christmas function to support a friend & enjoy some Christmas cheer! We were shopping around there & browsing having lots of fun. A friend I knew had a jewelry booth with handmade things & a little tree! The little tree displayed the jewelry. I saw a heart ♥️ necklace hanging on the tree I thought was so beautiful but we had just arrived so I was looking all around at everyone’s wares. I left her for a bit & was looking at things. I returned soon & found her in the same general area! I looked & said “OH NO 🙈 the heart is gone, I guess someone else liked it too”  then in a flash second I had a brand new heart ♥️ necklace on me !! I was so shockedI & really surprised because was right there really the whole time close by. Oh my this girl. Anyway it is & has been one of my greatest treasures! I wear it & remember my friend. Thanks a million times Vera I still love it & still love you ! Now behave yourself until I get there! 🤧😵‍💫😿

I’m so sorry for my friend to go, selfishly as I will miss her terribly and already do . After the hard times of fighting cancer though it is a beautiful thought of her being in that new perfect & beautiful body again that is well & whole. I have been trying to put into words what is going on in my heart ❤️ the best thing I can say right now is it has a HUGE HOLE in it. She was the kind of friend who had my back and was not afraid to go to bat for you if needed.  We both had that same kind of friendship. It was a rocky journey from the early days that just proved that love can conquer all! That love came from a mutual friend Esther whom was the middleman in this silliness. She insisted we should be friends & that we would have great times together. She was right. We did & it was a lasting friendship until the end. Vera had a beautiful soul whom was loving & generous to a fault! I told her this a few times. I wanted more time Vera but it was not to be, I love you & you became like a sister to me that I could share ANYTHING WITH & we sure did that. I recall a visit at my Moms where we had not seen each other for a while somehow we stayed up until 4 am laughing together & reminiscing & just having a great catch up visit. I am being flooded with memories such as this one right now. I know it’s beautiful where you are & you are at peace I know.  I will see you again my dear friend save my spot !
I have many fond memories of Vera who I assisted concerning a legal matter involving her ex-employer. We became friends over the years. I very much valued her friendship. I have a lamp in my office that she made for me many years ago that I cherish. Vera was a good soul and I will miss her. Please accept my condolences. Dan Latter

From Patti & Karen - we were very close to Vera and her whole family from the time she was about six. The memories of taking Vera and her little sisters on outings of all types and all the family events we shared are still very dear to our hearts. We are so saddened by her passing and send loving thoughts and condolences to her family whom we dearly love.
So long my old friend..... I will always remember the fun we shared. Talking about boys, riding the ABC bus and hanging out at Tropicana lanes. Until we meet again.

Sister

I covered my dreams and prayers

With tears that I shed for you

But nothing can wash away

The sweet memories I have of you

You will always be my Sister

Forever and a day

I wanted to keep you longer

But you had to go away

The Lord now holds you gently

In His Everlasting Arms

Far from pain and sickness

Where none can cause you harm

I still have tears to shed

They will keep falling now and then

And I will miss you Sister

Until we meet again

I see you in my memories

You are in a better place

You have life in Heaven

You see Jesus face to face

I will see you in Forever

When my time on earth is through

You will always be my Sister

And I will always love you

I’m so sorry to hear about your precious Vera   Her sister Mary was my best friend growing up.    The Harvey family was a second family to me and I loved each and every one of them.    Prayers to all. ❤️🥲🙏
I cannot figure out how to edit the site to post this so I will post it here. Vera died tonight, January 16, at 8:30 pm California time. She died peacefully at Pacifica Hospice in Carlsbad, CA. She was visited over the weekend by friends and family.
