Terry and I were sorry to hear of Venica’s passing. She was always a huge supporter and friend to us. Even when we moved to Virginia and she and Kay would visit our church and always greeted us with a big smile and encouraging words. Our prayers are with the Hill family and may God comfort as only He can.

I am so sorry for the loss of Mrs Hill.  She is such a wonderful lady.  For many years, I would bring Kay and Venica vegetables from my garden and in turn she would make us Zucchini bread.  It is the best I have ever had.

The first time Bobby and I met Venica , they invited us out to dinner. We walked into the restaurant and greeted them. Venica looked at me and said, “I love your boots! “  At church on Sunday Venica had her new boots on. We laughed about that for years .  From that time on they have been dear friends and until this day we love the whole family Another great memory of Venica  and Kay is they had gone to the Philippines for a visit to some of the missionaries there and returned home on Thanksgiving. We invited them over for Thanksgiving dinner. They came and ate. We had a wonderful time and in a few moments after our eating, we found both of them in front of the fireplace on the floor asleep.

It is always sad when one leaves physically from our lives. But we know Venica is home with her Lord.

Kay, you will miss her we know. We will pray for you and the family. May God hold all of you close in his arms every day until you see her again.

We love all of you, Bob and Amelia Lewellen.

My heart is heavy for Kay in our loss of Venica. She always called me her boyfriend and from those early days in Junior Church, in the old dark and dank garage building, she was my girlfriend. The flannel graph she and Mrs. Carey taught us with, gave us a good foundation in the Bible. Junior Church was such an oasis and a shelter from the storms of life, and necessary to keep us rambunctious kids from disturbing the preaching in “big church”

Kay & Venica ~ An inspiration and dear friends of the Wadfords for over 50 years. My condolences and prayers today and the days ahead 🙏     Ricky ♥️
Kay and all of the family are in my thoughts and prayers at this difficult time. I will always remember her big smile and loving spirit. She will be greatly missed!
Venica I have so many fond memories of you and Mrs. Carey as our Junior Church teachers.  Many of my family and friends came to know the Lord as a result of the Wednesday night Junior Church meetings so long ago.  We had such a great time  singing and learning about the Lord as youngsters. As an adult, you were an encouragement to me in the Nursery ministry.  You referred to me as your “partner in crime”. Love you, Venica. Looking forward to seeing you and all the many Neuse Baptist saints that have gone on before. What a reunion that will be.
I'm praying for you Kay, as I remember the wonderful times I spent with you two.  I love ❤️ you.
Praying for the family during this difficult time of grief. Ms. Venica always showed the joy of her salvation with her smile and kind heart.
Earth’s loss and heaven’s gain.  She taught me so much about serving the Lord. I will remember her every time I make her corn pudding recipe. Welcome home thy good and faithful servant.
So thankful for Venica. She was one of a kind. She and my mom were quite a pair! I’m sure they are having a great time together in heaven.  She and Kay have been such an awesome influence in my life.  Faithfully praying and encouraging us. What a blessing.  Looking forward to the day we will all be rejoicing together in glory.
So sorry to hear of the families loss.  We remember 17 years ago when the two of you attended our Missions conference and made a huge impact in our lives.  May God continue to Bless all of you.

Venica was one of the two Sunday School teachers who I attribute to my getting saved when I was 6 years old at Poole Road Baptist Church.  She & Kay were such a big part of my childhood.  My condolences to the family.
I am so sorry to hear this. Venica was a shining example of how strong women should live their lives. My family's prayers are with you always for your loss.
I was so sad to hear of your passing, heaven just got a lot sweeter. You held a special place in my heart. You always remembered my birthday and made me one of those famous rum cakes.  Praying for the family 🙏 Love Brooks and Mickey Pearce.
Oh Venica, the times we had singing in the choir and aggravating Kay as he led. Lost count of how many times he threatened to separate us.  You would just smile that sneaky little smile, shake your head and say uh-uh. You were a special lady for sure.  No doubt there are many children who came to know Christ through your puppet ministry. Love you lady.  Save a place for me in the choir beside you up there.
